Filing Bankruptcy Can Eliminate Your Medical Bills
Usually, filing bankruptcy will eliminate all your medical bills. If you have large hospital bills, or even small ones, filing for bankruptcy will eliminate your financial responsibility to pay these bills. This is because the hospital and other medical providers are almost always unsecured creditors.
Either a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy or a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy would eliminate these types of debt. Once eliminated, you will never be responsible for paying them again. This applies even if the medical provider has filed a law suit against you or has obtained a judgement against you. In fact, as soon as you file your bankruptcy petition, it becomes illegal for these creditors to contact you.
